Whether you are already involved in providing end-of-life care, have an interest in doing so, or are just looking for information about this work, we encourage you to join our growing and dynamic network and help us spread the abundance of our efforts. As we empower each other, we empower others. Together, by openly sharing information, developing tools, and sharing experiences and resources, we will spread the word and help the dying and their loved ones to be well cared for so they can achieve the kind of death they desire.
While you do not need to be an actively practicing end-of-life doula to apply, you must be a current NEDA member. We are especially looking for those who can devote time and effort to growing and sustaining this fast-growing organization in ways that benefit all involved. We seek individuals that want to be part of an active, engaged team that works hard and loves doing so. Board members are expected to attend all meetings and regularly do work on their own in between meeting times. All meetings take place on-line in our Zoom.us virtual meeting room.
The National End-of-Life Doula Alliance welcomes board members from diverse backgrounds who are interested in furthering the NEDA mission. Our open application process runs from July 15 - August 15 when we replenish the board for the coming year.
Serving on the working board of a non-profit can be a very rewarding experience and we encourage all of our members to thoughtfully consider joining our governance team. NEDA is a relatively new organization in an emerging field, and we have some exciting and ground-breaking work to do. We are looking for a wide variety of skills--from strategic planning; events and sponsorships; membership development, educational programming; diversity, equity and inclusion, and justice; to social media, PR & communications; and much more.
The Board of Directors welcomes volunteers who are current members of NEDA willing and able to serve on a committee(s). Please contact the appropriate committee chairperson below to express your interest and also complete the NEDA Volunteer Form.
